What Our School Cannot Do or Be...

Our school cannot...

    What Our School Can Do...

Our school can provide a "basic" education.
  1. Be a substitute for a good home where abides love, values, discipline, and a challenge to grow and learn.
  2. Be a substitute for a good church with consistent teaching of biblical doctrine, loving fellowship, and a mutual support and encouragement of one another.
  3. Take the place of a good church youth group where young people find good friends, socialization skills, and practical application of the teaching of the church.
  4. Offset a materialistic and humanistic philosophy totally pervading a child's out-of-school time and entertainment.
  5. Guarantee success unless the child chooses to learn, obey, and follow. Each one has a free will, and ultimately each child decides for himself. We give him choices in the best possible context.
B Balanced discipline means not only taking the proper action for inappropriate behavior but also praising for what is done right.

A Academic foundation has four sides to it.
  • Reading encompasses learning to read and comprehend well, as well as learning to enjoy reading.
  • Writing, plus all other forms of communication skills, is absolutely necessary.
  • Arithmetic is a must in our numbers-driven society.
  • Reasoning, learning to think, discern, judge, and decide for yourself on the basis of complete information, is another essential skill.
S Source of truth is God's infallible Word, the Bible, and is not humanistic thought or secular philosophy.
I Instructors care for and love their students and consider each a unique individual and creation of God.

C Character development, including courtesy, good manners, and dependability, is essential in any true educational endeavor.

Interesting Facts:
According to the Council for American Private Education and
The National Center for Education Statistics

Private schools focus on the essentials--that which provides purpose and meaning to life. The sad reality is that our society is marked by a great fear that fundamental values are coming undone.

College Board indicate that SAT scores for private school students are well above the national average.

88 percent of private high school students apply to college, compared to 57 percent of public high school students.

Private schools are the only schools we have that can assist parents with the religious and spiritual development of their children--a sphere of development so essential for their complete and proper upbringing.
