Women's Sunday School

We meet in Room 207

We had a wonderful Sunday School class. We are learning so much about John and his many writings. Day 4 especially was touching in a Women's Sunday School class. For those of you who missed it... I'll briefly recap:

John talked about the interaction that Jesus had with many women in the Bible. In every occasion, he reacted with love and compassion. He immediately forgave them of their sins and told them to go and sin no more. I am so glad there is no time limit for us to drag our heads and "wallow" in what we have done. Jesus told them to go and tell others what he had done for them. In every scripture reading, Jesus looked beyond the woman's action and into her heart. He forgave them and gave them back their dignity. I am so glad that I serve a God that is so understanding and compassionate.

Thanks, Debbie Kestner

Currently working on week Seven days 1, 2 and 3 and will discuss on Sunday February 24..

If you have not been attending our class it is never too late to start!!  Get the book and join us during our next Sunday School class.

Please join us for our Women's Sunday School.  Beginning December 2, 2007 we will begin a journey  through a ten week study of the Apostle John We will get to know the one the New Testament calls the beloved disciple. We will explore the depths of John's relationship with Jesus Christ, viewing our own relationship with Christ as unique from all others. We will see ourselves as modern “beloved disciples” and will discover how to allow God to establish a love relationship with Christ as the motivation for all they seek and do.

To assist us in this study we choose to use Beth Moore’s book “Beloved Disciple”.  If you are not familiar with Beth Moore the book contains a small introduction or you can visit her website “Living Proof Ministries”.

The book is available at Lifeway located in Central Park for $14.95.  The book is  a necessary for our study.  Each week we will work through 5 lessons contained in the book at home.  Every Sunday morning we discuss that week’s 5 principal questions.

The class does not have a teacher because we expect to learn from one another.  Instead we have a class facilitators.  One of our facilitators will ensure the class stays on track and that each of the principal questions is discussed before the class ends.

If you have any questions please contact one of our class facilators:

Debbie Kestner, Sharon Spradlin or Teresa Hart
