About Our Pastor

     Pastor Ken Biggs

Pastor Biggs was born in Indiana and spent his childhood years in Illinois. Growing up in a Christian home, he had the opportunity to attend church regularly. He was also able to attend Christian school. During school camp he surrendered his life to the Lord and committed to serve Him.

He married his wife, Joyce on June 20,1987. They moved to Richmond in 1990 and taught in a Christian school there. They have six children: Shane, Brian, Brittany, Alyssa, Caleb and Cameron. Joyce has taught Christian school for nearly 3 decades and currently serves as a part-time math tutor at Mathnasium. Joyce and the children have all served along side Pastor Biggs in ministry.

Pastor Biggs has served on the pastoral staff at churches in the Shenandoah Valley and Fredericksburg. While at these ministries, he served as administrator of their Christian schools. He has served in full-time ministry for nearly 30 years.

Following God’s call on his life to pastor, he completed his Master of Ministry degree at Virginia Baptist College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and was ordained on September 20, 2008 at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Stuarts Draft, Virginia.

Pastor Biggs firmly believes that the goal of every Christian should be to worship and glorify God. It is his desire to lead Crossroads Baptist Church with this goal in mind. Psalm 95:6 states, “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

To accomplish this mission, Crossroads seeks to evangelize the lost, equip believers and encourage one another in the Lord.
